We all know these days how important self care is, it’s something we talk about a lot in The Nanny Lounge, and we host a pamper evening once a month to help encourage you to take some time out for yourself.
As a nanny, the burnout is real. I’m sure we can all agree that caring for children all day is both mentally and physically exhausting!
Our Self Care Tracker encourages you to take a look at your week and see where you can spend a little more time focusing on yourself and your needs.
From ensuring you get enough sleep, to calling a friend, you can use our suggested habits or use the blank template to add your own.
Here’s some other self care activities you might want to add:
- Drink 8 glasses of water
- Dance
- Relaxing bath
- Moisturise
- Journal
- Meditate
- Zero your emails
- Write a to do list
- Listen to music
- Watch a movie
- Try a new recipe
- Listen to a podcast
- Turn off your phone
- Yoga
- Take a nap
- Bake a cake
There are two ways you can make this tracker work for you.
You can either use it to look back and see where you need to spend more time, for example if you didn’t exercise at all last week, make sure you tick it off at least once next week, or you can use it to build up your habits slowly with the aim of having them in your every day routine.
Want to get your hands on our Self Care Tracker?
The Self Care Tracker, as photographed, and a blank version for you to add your own habits to, are available for all our Nalo Nannies members.
Those on the Best Nannies Tier of our membership are able to request personalised habits to be added and a pdf version will be sent.
